Inspiration

As drivers in the areas around UD may have noticed, available parking is not always the easiest to find. We wanted to make something to help solve this issue, so we made Parkme!

What it does

ParkMe has three main features: The first is showing occupancy of a parking spot in a color of green, yellow, orange or red. Also tells the rate, schedule, and will show the The second is to assist with finding the closest available parking to someone's destination based on user input. The third is showing parking patterns of any parking lot of the previous 7 days.

How we built it

We used IntelliJ to create the framework to help demonstrate the core functions. We used Excel to store data and mimic the server the future app will exact data from. We used Figma to illustrate the UI of the app, visualizing what the app will look like. We used PhotoShop to make a LOGO.

Challenges we ran into

Learn new Excel libraries, Java operations and the Figma software in a very short amount of time. Creating multiple classes and make testing files along the way to make sure the code are always working.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are friends now!! Our code run in full intended functions Cool LOGO! Cooler Demo for the App!!

What we learned

How to work with strangers. How to work with Excel using Java. Using Figma to create prototype UI and ideas.

What's next for ParkMe

Work with GoogleMap and Password to actualize the app. Create more customable features for individual users.
