Inspiration
Everyone knows getting parked for college football is a pain! But on the other side, it's an opportunity for people that live in the vicinity of a football stadium to make some extra cash! The annoying part of selling parking in our front yards is when you live down a side-street, you've got to go out and wave a sign to direct people in. So we made a database of maps to pinpoint where the best neighborhoods selling parking on their front lawns are!
What it does
Editable and filterable list of parking spot pins, anyone can submit their yard or any other size of spot to advertise for free that they're selling parking for football games.
How I built it
Leaflet.js does all the heavy UI, a great project/mysql and ruby on rails for the database backend.

What I learned
What's next for ParkingForFootball
Some sort of live day-of machinery for listing whether you've already sold all of your spots or not
