Inspiration
Finding a parking spot can be a stressful experience, especially in busy urban areas or brand new places that you are not familiar with.
What it does
Parking Lot Finder allows users to search for nearby parking lots of current location or interested destination, view real-time details on availability, pricing, and user reviews, and even contribute their own ratings. The app is designed to save users time, reduce parking frustration.
How we built it
JavaScript for Front and Back end implementation, css and html for Front end, python for a back end machine learning model training on our database, Figma for UI design, and MongoDB for storing and analyzing our database.
Challenges we ran into
Communications between Front and Back end, especially between MongoDB and Front end. Compactibility between the machine learning model and web application. The design of complicated UI and Front end. Learning implementing MongoDB from fresh.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It is working.
What we learned
Teamwork towards a fully implemented web application including Front end, Back end, and Full stack. Implementation of MongoDB.
What's next for PeterParker
Allow users define and establish new non-existing parking locations in our database. Encourage users submitting more inputs and datas.
