Inspiration Exploring the idea of parallel realities and how power and faith could distort them. I wanted to push the boundaries of what AI tools can achieve in cinematic storytelling.
What it does
It’s an AI-generated short film about a priest who unlocks portals to alternate worlds — blending myth, horror, and surreal visuals.
How we built it Created entirely with AI tools — combining text-to-video, image generation, and post-editing workflows using platforms like Runway, Midjourney and Kling. I was interested what could be done with image edititing in Nano Banana.
Challenges we ran into Balancing visual coherence between shots, managing style consistency across tools, and dealing with constant model changes and content restrictions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Achieved a cinematic look and cohesive story purely through generative workflows
What we learned AI filmmaking is less about prompts and more about directing — guiding models like actors and tools like departments.
What's next for Parallelum Not sure. Might follow up with a sequel
