Inspiration
We wanted mathematics to feel like an escape room. The project combines paradoxes, visual puzzles, and browser mechanics.
What it does
Players restore a mysterious archive by solving interactive riddles involving space, graphs, binary systems, infinity, observation, and hidden information.
How we built it
We used vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare Functions and D1 handle validation, anonymous sessions, and the Hall of Fame.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge was supporting unusual interactions across desktop and mobile. We also had to balance hidden solutions with fair visual feedback and good performance.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We turned browser features such as resizing, history, visibility, and touch into puzzle mechanics. The result is bilingual, mobile-friendly, secure, and requires no login.
What we learned
We learned that animations and interface reactions can teach rules without instructions. Mathematics becomes more approachable when players can interact with it visually.
What's next for Paradoxe Archive - Riddle
Next, we want to add more riddles, optional hints, anonymous analytics, additional languages, and shareable completion cards.
