As we enter into an age where childhood becomes forgotten amidst the hectic traverse of the world, PARADOX seeks to rejuvenate the essence of happiness in sleek, modernistic hues. Fulfilling the aesthetically-driven and the competitive of our era, PARADOX launches its first project: on the globally-adored Tic-Tac-Toe. Featuring X's as re-imagined dimensional, structured cubes and O's and spherical realms to the multi-faceted nature of nostalgia and the modern era, everyone can delve into the X's, scintillating LED's, and O's. Your friends. Your boss. Your pet fish. Whatever fancies your pickle, as they say.

The function.
What else is there to learn than the joy that exudes from three-by-three rows and minute cubes and spheres?
PARADOX plays like your common mom-and-pop Tic-Tac-Toe. Simple as that. The difference? PARADOX games are built with an eye for minimalism and modern infrastructure, coalescing the perfect balance between the integrity of your favourite childhood game in unexplored beauty. Something you can put on a corporate man's desk in Washington.
The cerulean of blueprints.
PARADOX pivoted plenty of times.
We're smart. We like alliteration. We also began with ambitious ideas that would make a surreal game perfect for you and your pompous life. We soon realized that this was not viable in the allocated days, amalgamated with diluted Tim Hortons coffee, two-hours of lucid sleep and Fruitsation packets littering the vicinity.
We began using Node.js to create a webserver which would feature real-time PARADOX game-play, ensuing viewers to forge interest in the brand, thereby allowing viewers to proactively engage in the competition and class. The physical board would then connect to the PARADOX app, and the app would connect to the website.
The behemoth of modern sanity.
Our LED's did not work; the voltage was incorrect which created the first determinist layer of "Challenges to Overcome." Not only did we have ambitions, so did our ideas—personnified and fleeing into the horizon. Our ideas changed as it was based on our software, which we had to also alter. In the creation of the board, the Copper plates did not attach, in which extensive efforts were made to re-assemble the board.
In all of this multi-faceted beauty, our team also thought on our toes—prepared to polish our software and mechanic difficulties.
To hang on a bookshelf.
PARADOX plays to the strength of the mind—in analytical thinking, delving into each and every step in an opponent's next move or line in code. Our team worked to everyone's efforts; someone sawed copper plates, someone planned the perfect pitch to spark the perfect amount of tear in a prospective judge's eyes. Someone handled Graphic Design and Creative Writing. Each and every person played to their strengths, came together, and learned from each other—what's more to love than the perfect synergy?
What we learned.
How optimistic is it to recognize that learning is everlasting, and not the evanescence we conceptualize as we chew through the chores of modern life? PARADOX is a time to relax in minimalism and nostalgia. Behind the scenes, our team was dedicated to finding the best balance between reflecting that this project is a learning opportunity rather than a chore—the very reason why we are so frank in this Devpost recount. We are having a really great time, and the truth is; we are still learning, and that most certainly isn't a paradox.
