The land belongs to God… and we can all live in peace.
The film "Golan Paradise" carries a message that transcends image and movement; it is an invitation to reflect on the meaning of belonging, justice, and peace. The Golan Heights does not belong to anyone over anyone else; the land, in its essence, belongs to God and has room for everyone. But we, the original inhabitants of the Golan, were born there, and our families have lived there generation after generation. We carry in our hearts a sincere longing to return to the land that was once our home and the garden of our childhood.
This message is not a conflict with anyone, nor a confrontation with any people. History is full of tragedies that have befallen all of humanity—displacement, persecution, and wars—and everyone deserves to live in peace and security. My message is that art can become a bridge that crosses over wounds, and that awareness has a deeper impact than weapons.
Through this film, I am trying to tell the world that the Golan Heights is not just disputed territory, but a memory, an identity, and the scent of apples that remains etched in our souls. We want to return one day… not through war, but through peace, recognition, and justice.
