Inspiration

We were really inspired to create a safe and easy way to complete what is usually a very paper and in-person intensive process. With so many people working remotely (the customer and the loan officer in this case), we felt it was important to highlight how cloud tools such as Quick Base, Dropbox, and Docusign could seamlessly replace that paper heavy process.

What it does

The application allows non-QB users (i.e. "Customers") to apply for pre-approval of a loan, internal employees of the bank to process the pre-approval, send out a loan application via docusign, have the customer complete it, and then manage the tedious process to process and get the loan closed. Using pipelines and custom code, we incorporated dropbox, docusign, wit.ai, and zoom to revolutionize a process which normally entails many in person meetings, and signing of physical paper.

How I built it

We split the work by functional areas such as integration, workflow, UI/UX, and reporting.

Challenges I ran into

More of a self-imposed challenge: We wish we would have started at the beginning of the hackathon vs 2 weeks ago -- really could have added some amazing additional features.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

How fast we were able to pull this off, and the amount of 3rd party tools and APIs we were able to incorporate.

1 feature that didn't make it into the video was that you can click 'add meeting' at any point during the loan process and a zoom call/invite link will go out a few moments after saving the meeting record. Also apologies for the degraded audio near the end of one of the videos -- had some rendering issues with youtube -- please feel free to turn the CCs on, they are actually quite accurate!
