Inspiration 💪🏻

Solving the pain of having to search and study a huge number of research papers, and realizing that the essential information was present in only a few papers. Hence, a website which could easily retrieve relevant research papers would save a lot of time.

What it does 🤖

The website uses ElasticSearch to store and retrieve related research papers very quickly. User can query the database by Title or Abstract of the paper. You can also add new papers to make them searchable for future use. Kibana is used to visualize the research paper database with dashboards and reports and thereby take data-informed actions.

How we built it 🔨

Built using ElasticSearch Cloud and Kibana. Used Python and Streamlit web framework to create the responsive website.

Challenges 🙅🏻‍♂️

It was my first time using ElasticSearch, so had to look for resources that would help me using it with Python. There were resources and client libraries readily available which made it easy to learn and implement ElasticSearch functionalities.
