Papel AI A Word-like research manuscript editor that detects scientific claims as you write and verifies them with multi-agent AI—not another literature chatbot. Problem Researchers often trust paper summaries and citations without checking whether the evidence truly supports the claim. Existing tools search for helpful quotes, rarely hunt for contradictions, and usually return one opaque answer with no audit trail. Writing and verification also stay disconnected. Solution Papel AI embeds verification inside the manuscript: Claim detection — Finds comparative, quantitative, causal, and limitation claims; logs them with confidence and highlights. Multi-agent verification — Decomposes the claim, runs support + adversarial search on Semantic Scholar and arXiv, extracts evidence, critiques conflicts, and returns Supported / Partial / Contradicted / Insufficient. Explainability — Shows verification scope, evidence strength, why a claim is not fully supported, safer wording, and a full Show Me Why audit trail. Why it is different | Typical AI research chat | Papel AI | |---|---| | Summarizes papers | Verifies specific claims | | Support-biased search | Explicit adversarial critic | | Opaque answer | Scope, conflicts, audit trace | | Separate from writing | Runs inside the manuscript | Stack React · Vite · TipTap · claim-detection pipeline · Groq/Gemini · Semantic Scholar · arXiv · hybrid ranking Demo Load a template or type a claim → auto-detect → Verify → watch agents → read the verdict → open Show Me Why. One line: From “What do the papers say?” to “What does the evidence prove?”
