PantryPal is the new best website to find your recipes in one place. Just tell it what type fo food you have at home and it will generate a unique recipe for you that you can make with those items!

Inspiration

People eat out too much and throw away foods that expire that are already in their homes. With this development, we are able to generate recipes with out you having to go to the store!

What it does

PantryPal generates unique recipes for you depending on what you have in your own home! Just drag and drop the items and it'll create a new recipe for you!

How we built it

Front End- Used HTML/CSS/JavaScript to make a website that is user friendly and allows users to get custom generates recipes. Back End- Used Java to code a software that takes the user input and asks questions to create a recipe based off what the user enters.

Challenges we ran into

  • The interactjs wouldn't work, so we had to improvise.
  • Repopulating a drag-and-drop box
  • Grabbing data from API
  • Rotating a parallelogram
  • Parallax Scrolling
  • CSS is hard

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Implemented the API
  • Figured out a working drag-and-drop
