We’ve all been there — standing in a grocery store, trying to remember if we already have pasta at home. So we buy it just in case. Then weeks later, we find two unopened packs pushed to the back of the shelf… next to a can of soup that expired months ago. That moment sparked a simple thought:What if our pantry could think with us?What if it reminded us of what we already had, what was running out, and what was about to go bad? It’s not just about tracking groceries — it’s about saving time, money, and food, while making life a little less chaotic. We wanted to build something that fits into real homes, real routines, and solves a problem people don’t even realize they have — until it’s too late.
Scan receipts or barcodes to instantly log groceries into a virtual pantry.Get expiry reminders before items go bad. Create smart shopping lists based on what they actually need.Discover recipes using what’s already in their kitchen. Share pantry data with family members to avoid duplicate shopping. Track usage patterns and reduce food waste over time
Using Bolt.new, I created a smart, simple, and intuitive app that helps people keep track of what’s in their pantry.I used Bolt’s bolt.new automation no code and automation tools to bring this idea to life quickly — proving that you don’t always need complex code to build something meaningful. Sometimes, solving a real problem in a simple way is all it takes.
Challenges were many cause I had many objectives in mind which I could not fulfill like I wanted to sync the pantry details to the whole family members but that wasn’t possible
I wanted to create recipes out of the remaining ingredients
I have successfully achieved or accomplished the scanning part for now let’s pray that this app will satisfy the objectives
