Over 2 million food-insecure households in America have chronic health conditions that face them with the dilemma of finding safe and affordable food. In hopes of lessening their burden, we designed PantryFinder, a web application that helps community members find accessible and accommodating local food pantries

Users can start searching for food pantries by entering their zip code or city and can filter locations by walking distance or proximity to bus stops. By allowing users to locate pantries by inputting their dietary preferences, users are able to find food options that work for them.

Users can bookmark their favorite local food pantries to stay up to date with staff announcements and stock inquiries from other community members while maintaining anonymity. PantryFinder strives to maintain inclusivity by allowing users to locate pantries with cultural meal options, as well as the option to translate community comments.
