Inspiration

We were inspired to develop PantryPal, an innovative and accessible solution to reduce food waste and discover new recipes. Food waste is a significant problem with consequences affecting the environment, economy, and food security. Our program empowers users to combat these issues as well as helping individuals create delicious meals with ingredients they have into delicious meals!

What it does

This website provides you with many different services. The main attraction of the website is the is the API model which takes the input of the users ingredients and turns them into a custom recipe. The other pages give the user a recipe book and a recommendations tab.

Time management ## What we learned We learnt a lot about the gemini api as well as were able to get more familiar with python, html, css, and javascript. ## What's next for Pantry Pal Next we are hoping to edit the code of the recipe book to allow the user to save the recipes created by the AI and possibly add their own. We would also like to make the recommendations page give recommendations based off of the users chat history.
