Inspiration
I was inspired by this idea when i was navigating through Google Street View and wondered, what if there's a chance we could see current situation around hospitals, streets, etc, in my country and in other countries in the same way. Then i found out about 360° Virtual Tours and get engaged with them, then this event comes up and i thinked to myself, it's the best chance to make the world know about this idea.
What it does
The proposal it’s that with the use of 360° Panoramas Technologies, we can provide a better idea of what all these countries have done to mitigate the impact of the virus, for example: how it’s the panorama of a hospital in any of these countries, how are quarantines rooms being handled, what are the measures to determine if someone has coronavirus (temperature checking points, test sites, etc), how is a disinfection station. All this questions could be answered with this project with the creation of 360° Virtual Tours were people can access this information and adapt it to their lifestyle or current form of fighting against the virus.
How I built it
I used the framework Marzipano, HTML5, Javascript, CSS3
Challenges I ran into
- Didn't know how to make an animation video from scratch and this helped me out to learn a little how to do it.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- The tours looks fantastic ! And there are many things that can still be implemented within it.
- Working with Open-Source code it's one of the best things you could ever do.
- The Learning of Technologies i was unaware of, that may improve your skills in your field.
What I learned
Animaker is an awesome tool for making animated videos. Marzipano is a useful open-source framework that helps create 360° Panorama Tours, The polishment of skills at the time of using HTML5, CSS and Javascript.
What's next for Panoramas with Ideas
- Make it more accesible so that any person on the planet can build their own panorama and get attendance from medical doctors.
- Have the first chance to create a Virtual Tour about a Hospital and how is it dealing with the current situation.
- Have in first hand multiple tours that will help people get through their quarantine.
Built With
