Inspiration
I was inspired by the problem of collecting and sorting plastic bags, in fact bags are found everywhere and most of the time require human intervention. maybe one day we will create a robot specialized in collecting plastic bags
What it does
I created my application PanicOfPlastic, it's a game based on the collection of plastic bags by a recycling bot the goal of the game is to collect all the plastic bags using the controls (arrow buttons to move), the teleportation tools while avoiding the black holes to absorb the bot this tutorial explains the steps I went through to create my PanicOfPlastic application
How we built it
for the design, I used several tools, including Visual Studio Code, with the Flutter and Dart extensions, for the design I used Paint and Photoshop, and for the creation of the game map, I used the Tiled tool For the music, I chose the sound of birds because it is peaceful and at the same time free
Challenges we ran into
the challenges I encountered:
- This is my first experience with the Flutter tool, it took me a long time to improve my skills.
- design is also not my specialty
- basically, the major problem I encountered is the lack of time
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I managed to code and run and even deploy a Flutter app on the web, and I believe that's the best part
- I managed to create code that works on the local machine
- I managed to deploy the web code
- I did not manage to implement everything I had imagined for this application in a timely manner but I managed to do a large part
What we learned
everything was new to me, the tools, the languages, the challenge.. I learned a lot about the design and development of 2D games
What's next for Panic Of Plastic
- Deploy on Android, IoS
- integration with google wallet
- add more functionalities and levels to the game
