Inspiration
Many of us have suffered panic attacks, which really feels like you're dying and sometimes makes you afraid of doing such normal things as walking up the stairs or eating cheese.
What it does
This static site helps to walk users step-by-step through calming their mind and body to regain control of their emotions during a panic attack. Our design is intentionally minimalist to limit distractions during each step of the process. We also included additional resources for the user to discover other coping mechanisms.
How we built it
We took our previous knowledge of HTML, CSS and responsive sites that we've learned in our time at Skillcrush.
Challenges we ran into
We had to simplify a lot from our original concept (and what we aim for in the future-- which is maybe a mobile or web app with different choices for a person who is suffering a panic attack). Other than that, just the usual CSS formatting hiccups.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are at different learning stages of our learning process, but we all came together and created this great site in less than 24 hours!
What we learned
We learned from each other about CSS and a lot about panic attacks and how to work through them.
What's next for Panic Attack Help
Including more options and different types of coping mechanisms. Building a mobile app for easy access and use on the go.
