Inspiration

Our group wanted to create a unique product that addresses a novel problem. Although two years have elapsed since the beginning of COVID-19, people are still finding ways to adapt pandemic safe practices in an attempt to resume normalcy in everyday life.

What it does

This application provides information on the COVID-19 situation of potential travel destinations. Users are able to search destinations by least to most covid cases, they are able to bookmark locations and receive updates when border or covid regulations for those countries are updated.

How we built it

PandemicTravel was created with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Challenges we ran into

The project scope was a large issue. There are many features that we wanted to implement that we believe would aid in the functionality of the product, but unfortunately, there wasn't enough time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As first-term students, we feel that we accomplished quite a bit in a short amount of time, and using skills that we have only been developing for the past 3 months.

What we learned

Communication is key, and its' important to prioritize the features that are the most important.

What's next for Pandemic Travel

We will continue working on the application after the submission so that we can put it on our resumes.
