Inspiration

We started off by creating a travel application - who wouldn't want a better way to travel - but then realized that what we were creating didn't have to just be limited to trips.

What it does

By being aware of what your intentions are - both via input and past experience - this application knows what your next step will be, or more specifically, how you will want to complete that. Got off a plane? We'll get your Lyft ready to go so don't have to enter the location. Heading to the a meeting? Don't worry about it, your drop off locations are already ready.

How we built it

The backend is powered by a Django/Postgres setup, and then in order to feed things into the front, we've setup a Firebase server in order to have an automated REST solution.

Challenges we ran into

Many of these API's were difficult to tie together, reserving a Lyft can't be done without the current active user, so that was a bit more difficult in terms of preparing rides.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The next button feature worked as intended! By doing a little prep work with the settings, it was possible to push the flow forward without much trouble.

What we learned

Expand our tech stack, while we all learned quite a bit in the last 48 hours, the more tools available would have been a better outcome. Also get a designer!

What's next for PandaMonium

Continue looking into how one can improve its next feature, there are many flows that are more rituals than anything, and should not be limited to repetition outside of enjoyment.
