Panda's Express

Inspiration

The inspiration behind this project was an elementary math game that could help little kids memorize their addition table using characters with real life references like Tesla, SpaceX, and even Panda Express.

What it does

The project is essentially an elementary math quiz/story which resides over a panda that asks the user basic addition questions and if correctly answered they are shown a celebrating screen which is a Tesla Roadster in space with background music.

How we built it

I built this project using Alice 3 which is an IDE that lets you code characters that can interact in a virtual world.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges that I ran into were trying to find a function in which "if user does not get the problem correct, they either have to restart or are faced with a different ending" and

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of being able to successfully incorporate the random number generator which comes up with different questions each time the user would like to try again.

What we learned

I learned how to be able to make the user have different questions each time they decide to play the game, how to have different scenes for all parts of the story, and how to format music from Youtube into the code.

What's next for Panda's Express

The future I would like to have with this program would be to have college grade mathematics incorporated in video games.
