As a college student I often struggle with procrastinations, ever difficult deadlines, and finding the ability to focus when the work keeps piling. Our goal with this project was to help gamify productivity to help students and alumni find joy in their productivity.

The Game

Panda Prod is a virtual pet whose presence inspires you to stay motivated. A user can enter in what sites or online apps distract them (YouTube, TikTok, Instragram...) alongside the sites and apps they used when locked in (LeetCode, VSCode, Google Docs). Your productive panda pal recognized what websites you are on and either grows happy or sad depending on the time you spend.

Spending time working hard keeps your panda pet's mood up while doing activities that distract you make the panda sad, and no one wants to make the panda sad.

Disclaimers

We run a python script that grabs website headers only to track productivity, no personal data is stored or saved besides the apps you enter within the configuration page.
