Inspiration to build this solution:

Based on the fact that European domestic economies need to reopen and the Schengen space will also need to reopen allowing people to travel within the EU, however the existence of multiple intra country initiatives will make it difficult to assess the health status of citizens when they need/want to travel to other countries due to the multiple technologies and solutions being created which creates more hurdles for people due to lack of interoperability.

What it does:

To connect pan-european Covid-19 monitoring and tracing initiatives that each member state is implementing, via a token creation platform that will keep people's data anonymous still allowing them to cross EU borders easily. The domestic platforms/initiatives will request a common European token to be created/issue by the platform. All participating countries will be able to read the tokens since they will work as a single common European identifier for Covid-19. Token can have the following statuses: tested positive, tested negative, non-tested and immune. Different sectors/industries can read the COVID-token at any EU country.

How do we envision it:

As an infrastructure and communication layer in order for multiple entities to interact, create and share Covid-19 related information through tokenization. Technically these are foreseen to integrate with our solution through the usage of secure APIs to connect to the token platform.

What's next for the Pan-European Token Platform:

Support from EU to have access to all EU initiatives, engage on technical conversations with all entities building domestic solutions. Then as well, to promote the development of this and other related initiatives to achieve an universal solution for credentials through the connection of all such initiatives.
Further the technical architecture and build an enhanced integration layer for other solutions to interact into the Token Platform.
