[Team 4] Pan-American Digital Experience

Inspiration

A gamified version of a walking tour. One example of this is Pokémon Go. We think it will give a fun, immersive, and interactive way to engage clients.

What it does

It allows for quests to go on a "hunt for artifacts". This will allow people to take a walking tour while learning about the history of Buffalo.

How we built it

Flutter is an app-building software open to IOS and Android systems that can be used with GIS to layer coordinate points to link to artifacts.

Challenges we ran into

Time and cost to fund this project might be an issue. We are unaware of the hiccups that we could face.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to build a prototype of what we wanted to do.

What we learned

We learned that sometimes we need to scale down and be realistic on what we can accomplish.

What's next for Pan-American Digital Experience

We want to expand this to other projects within the museum. Being able to reuse this technology in the future to offset the costs.
