Inspiration - Our inspiration came from the challenges visually-impaired beauty lovers experience when not being able to identify what colors are in their palette without the help of their loved ones.
What it does - Palette Pal allows users to take pictures of an eyeshadow palette while being helped by a voice-enabled assistant that reads out the colors to them and even offers users the opportunity to build a look - helping many better understand and recall the shades within their palette while also tapping into their creativity.
How we built it - We built a prototype of Palette Pal in Figma with a full application mockup.
Challenges we ran into - One challenge we ran into was balancing out ideas for the proof of concept. We had so many ideas that we wanted to touch on that it was a bit challenging to initially prioritize which ones are most key :)
Accomplishments that we're proud of - We are incredibly proud of the way we were able to bring what was once just an idea all the way to life from not only the perspective of a prototype but also a legitimate business plan.
What we learned - We learned just how important it is to always keep iterating - as hearing feedback and taking the product to that next level is what will make it most impactful.
What's next for Palette Pal - You'll have to tune into our Future Milestones for the scoop!
