Inspiration
People subconsciously learn better when teaching others, but there are often not enough opportunities for every student to be able to teach someone else.
What it does
PAL enforces peer to peer tutoring. Not only do the forums encourage teaching, but the voice chat rooms actively promote open collaboration with others. Additionally, users are able to learn in the teaching format by teaching an AI that engages the user the way a student would engage a teacher.
How we built it
This was built with a lot of help from Gemini. It relies on a backend portion and frontend portion.
Challenges we ran into
There was a lot of technologies that I wasn't familiar with, and I had to do a lot of learning/reading.

I'm proud of being able to create something from scratch in a very tight deadline. I'm also proud
What we learned
I learned how to effectively leverage AI in my development process. I furthered my knowledge over database and authentication using Supabase and MongoDB. Finally, I honed my React skills.
What's next for PAL
If PAL garners enough support, it could potentially become a new application that helps students. If that happens, perhaps the development team will need an increase in the number of people...
