Inspiration

Millions of children in third-world countries lack access to basic needs such as food, education, and resources. Inspired by the desire to reduce global inequality and align with the United Nations SDGs, we set out to create a platform that empowers both donors and recipients, fostering meaningful connections while driving impactful change.

What it does

Pal Connect connects donors with individuals in need, offering features to allocate funds for food, education, resources, or bill payments via a dynamic slider. It also enables hosting exchange students for cultural and educational exchange, fosters two-way communication, provides real-time impact tracking, and supports transparency through AI tools and blockchain technology.

How we built it

We used PlayLab to make prompts to input into Lovable for a user-friendly front end, Lovable for the back end, and Lovable (once again) for secure payments and bill processing. AI powers a chatbot for real-time assistance. Firebase stores user data, and translation tools enable seamless communication.

Challenges we ran into

We gained insights into global challenges like poverty, hunger, and education inequality. Additionally, we learned how to integrate advanced technologies like blockchain and AI to solve real-world problems effectively.

What's next for Pal Connect
