Inspiration Air pollution and smog are major environmental challenges that affect public health and daily life. Our team, Analytics Squad, was inspired to use data and technology to better understand pollution patterns and explore data-driven solutions that could create real impact. What We Learned During the SmogNet Datathon 2026, we improved our skills in Data Science, AI, teamwork, and problem-solving. We learned how to analyze environmental datasets, identify meaningful insights, and work efficiently under time pressure. The experience also strengthened our communication and collaboration skills. How We Built the Project We worked as a team to collect, clean, and analyze the provided smog-related datasets. Using data analysis and AI techniques, we explored trends, patterns, and possible predictive insights related to air pollution. We divided tasks among team members, collaborated on research and visualization, and combined our findings into a complete solution and presentation. Challenges We Faced One of the biggest challenges was understanding and processing large datasets within limited time. We also faced challenges in identifying accurate patterns and presenting meaningful insights clearly. Despite the pressure, teamwork, coordination, and continuous learning helped us overcome these difficulties successfully. Achievement Our efforts helped Analytics Squad secure 3rd Position at the SmogNet Datathon 2026 organized by the Department of Computer Science, UET Mardan in collaboration with Code for Pakistan. This achievement motivated us to continue learning and building impactful solutions in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
