Inspiration

Although I don’t have a deep knowledge of art, I’ve always enjoyed visiting museums and admiring the paintings. However, I often find myself feeling out of place, unable to fully engage in conversations about the works I’m viewing. That’s what inspired me to create this app—so I could not only appreciate art more deeply but also participate confidently in discussions about it.

What it does

Import a picture from gallery or take one and we will let you know all about the painting.

How we built it

This is my first project using OpenAI, and I developed it entirely in Swift and SwiftUI. While building the app, I faced some challenges, especially with the user interface. Design isn’t my strong suit, and I often struggled with creating an intuitive and visually appealing experience. Despite these challenges, working on this project has been a rewarding learning journey, combining my passion for art with my interest in technology.

What's next for Painting Recognition Art Scan

Expand its database to include even more modern artworks and artists, making it a comprehensive tool for art lovers and students alike. I also plan to enhance the app's accuracy and add new features like personalized art recommendations and detailed analysis for each identified painting. Additionally, I would like exploring collaborations with museums and galleries to provide users with exclusive insights and virtual tours. As I continue to refine the user interface and design, my goal is to make the app an indispensable companion for anyone passionate about art.
