Inspiration

The idea to Create a User-friendly email-dashboard such that it can interact with Springer's API and recommend articles to user excited us to act on a real - time project. We have given a good amount of dedication in creating and hosting this application.

What it does

User has to enter its email address , username Sign-in or Log in based on the addition of user the details are stored in the database and articles will be recommended based on the preferences of the user.

How we built it

The technologies used are CSS, React, Tailwind for the UI and backend is coded using MONGODB. API of Springer website-"https://www.springer.com/in" which has millions of subjective articles is fetched in Json format and edited . The SMTP server sends mails to users.

Challenges we ran into

Hosting the fake SMTP server was a challenge since we did not want to purchase a new plan. Coding in Backend also took a lot of effort and dedication but finally we created it with all our hearts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Hosting , Designing the images , logos and making a video also took a good amount of time . We are happy that we finally got to work for a good project and made it till end.

What we learned

This project taught us real-life scenarios and we had a good practise of Frontend, Backend, SMTP and API usage via this project.

What's next for "Pagewise"

Pagewise can be turned to a bigger project by Adding multiple categories of subjects on user's interest. Adding premium features , plans for users. Opening a blogpost , editorials for users to write and share their Experiences . Opening a Project sharing platform too where users can be recommended real projects based on preferred subjects.
