Inspiration:
I am a beginner and this is my first experience in Developing and Coding a game. I self motivated myself and took part in this Hackathon.
What it does:
This game is convenient to play for all age groups, its fascinating, improves mood and helps in building concentration.
How we built it:
We built this with a high level block bases visual programming language and an online community called "Scratch" by MIT. Scratch helped us with its beautiful way of how one should learn programming in a simpler yet deep way.
Challenges we ran into:
As we are beginners,we tried developing a website using HTML and CSS. But we couldn't make it because we had no knowledge about backend, then tried that in Figma but couldn't succeed within deadline so considering the time constraints we didn't want to give up in hackathon, so at last we ended up with this game.
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
We are proud of ourselves that we didn't give up, and tried our level best to submit our project. we attended mini events, went through new challenges and Met many new programmers in discord.
What we learned:
We learned how hackathon works. we got to know how one can participate in hackathon with minimal programming knowledge. At first we thought only programmers and coders can participate, but later got to know that, even non coders can participate and submit their ideas. We got to know about few sites like figma where we can design our websites and apps. At the end we made sure that we tried to make the most out of the hackathon experience. We also learned how to direct a demo video, make scripts, and outline a project from start to finish.
What's next for Paddle-Ball Fun Game:
We hope to work on developing the game that allows the user to interact more, instead of one ball/paddle we can make the game tougher by introducing more than one ball/paddle. we also hope to add animation and sound effects to make the game interesting. Another option would be to include a tab that can give lives to the ball in the game.
