Inspiration

We love traveling in our van. We have a shared checklist for that, but there's a problem - you can't reset it all at once. I think I can make that simpler and prettier.

What it does

It's just a simple checklist that you can share with friends across different platforms.

How we built it

I used Flutter to support both iOS and Android platforms.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was keeping it as simple as possible while still supporting list sharing, which was a must-have feature.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Since it's a really simple app, I wanted to play with the UI. I created a logo with a kangaroo as the main character of the app. Packy was born!

What we learned

I learned a lot about how to vectorize an image in Figma, basically redrawing it with the pen.

What's next for Packing Checklist with Packy

The biggest problem we still need to solve is that we often pack too many clothes. My plan is to add quantities and some sort of checklist review, like suggesting how many socks or pairs of underwear you really need to pack next time.
