Inspiration

All the development team members work for a telecom infrastructure company, so we wanted to visualize the mechanisms behind the packets and firewalls that operate daily in the background of our work.

What it does

A shooting game where you shoot down malicious packets.

How we built it

  • Built using a 3-tier architecture.
  • Adopted a pair programming approach and held daily work and study sessions to advance the project.

Challenges we ran into

  • Errors caused by CDK types and issues where resources were not created as expected.
  • Issues with ECS environment variables not being set correctly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • A game that is easy to understand and offers a satisfying sense of exhilaration.
  • Adorable and approachable characters.

What we learned

Despite being inexperienced in development, we took on the role of CDK environment development, and with the help of navigator members and AI, we learned how CDK works and successfully deployed the configuration we aimed for.

What's next for PACKET SHOOTING GAME

  • Add health gauges for players and enemies.
  • Implement player registration.
  • Introduce stage backgrounds and music changes, player upgrades, and enemy behavior pattern changes as the game progresses.
