Project Overview: We chose to design a mobile app experience to help travelers prepare for their trips as it can be stressful and frustrating when items are left behind due to last-minute packing, running late, or being unorganized.
With Packed Up! We provide a seamless and simple process for travelers to create a list of their important documents and item list without cognitive overload when evaluating all the things they need for their trip and share it with others that are tagging along.
Roles and Duration: This was a 5 person collaborative project for the UX Scene Designathon, it was a 3-day sprint that helped us work as a team from research to the final submission.
Goal: Our goal was to provide an avenue for travelers to easily access and quickly prepare for their trips without the added anxiety while optimizing usability and reducing cognitive overload.

What we learned and would like to have done!:
- Due to the time constraint, we didn't get the chance to do a usability test to be able to get user feedback and reiterate any changes.
- Nothing is impossible! We had 2 Designers in a huge different time zone but with a lot of communication and willpower, it was pretty enjoyable and not as nerve-wracking.
- Definitely, an experience to plan for, especially having a research plan laid out to keep us centered.
- We forgot to create the information architecture so when it came to prototyping, screens were a bit unorganized luckily it was simple and we had written down
What's Next for Packed It!
- Improvement such as usability testing
- add a feature to search for local activities based on destination
