Inspiration

The inspiration for the website came from bullet journaling. One layout in a bullet journal is a habit tracker which helps the person track how many days they have done a specific habit. We wanted to implement this concept for skill development. We wanted to create a place where the user can visually see their progress, motivate them through awards, and have access to resources.

What it does

The website allows users to track their skill development; they will be able to see their progress displayed on a graph and have access to a plethora of resources to develop their skills. The website also includes different tiers of awards to motivate users to consistently practice their skill of interest.

How we built it

We created the prototype using Figma and built the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

Figma was a bit difficult to navigate as it was our first time using it, however, we were able to watch some tutorials to get a better understanding of how to use the site. Determining the layout for each website page was challenging, since we both did not have a lot of experience with UI/UX.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a fuctioning prototype and website.

What we learned

In developing the website, we learned that time management is very important as we had 12 hours to create a prototype.

What's next for Pace

We want to implement a chrome extension that allows users to update their progress when they are not on the website. For example, if the user finished watching a video on graphic design, they can press the chrome extension icon and update their progress instantly.
