The in-built Phish Authenticator, recognized github.com, a popular Cloud-based Git repository as safe and secure.
The result of previous search. Details like Protocol, IP Address of the domain, and the owner of the domain are provided to the user.
IP Address of microsoft.com given by PA-v1.1.0 matches with the IP Address given by "nslookup" CLI tool, which confirms that it is genuine.
Home Page of Cyber Security educational website with built-in Phish Authenticator (PA-v1.1.0). Users can click on PA-v1.1.0 to access it.
Sample Phishing email: 'myuniversity.edu/renewal' redirects to 'myuniversity.edurenewal.com,' looking similar to confuse users.
PA-v1.1.0 was successful in distinguishing the ORIGINAL and FAKE website links.
The legality and safety of 'flippcart.com' are unconfirmed, but PA-v1.1.0 will issue a warning and inquire about blacklisting.
After blacklisting 'flippcart.com,' a global warning will be issued. If the blacklisting was incorrect, it will be reverted within 48 hours.

Introduction

This project, PA-v1.1.0 is, EXCLUSIVELY BUILT FOR TAKING PART IN HACKBLUE CYBER HACKATHON, 2023.
THIS IS NOT A PROTOTYPE, BUT A REAL-TIME WORKING PROJECT. PEOPLE CAN MAKE USE OF THE PROJECT FROM THE LINKS THAT HAVE BEEN PROVIDED.

What is PA-v1.1.0?

PA-v1.1.0 is a Phish Authenticator Website is a fully decentralized platform which is now hosted and made available on internet. This helps users to verify URLs, if they belong to a Trusted Service or not. Additionally, we want our users to be well versed with Cyber Security knowledge, to prevent them from being scammed. So, I have created an Education Website, where users can read about different topics in Cyber Security. The users can access these topics in the form of modules.

What is the Cyber Education Website?

I have also included a Cyber Education Website, where people can learn and know about Cyber Security. This is a budding website and is having a total of 9 core concepts of Cyber Security, as of now. As days and months roll, newer concepts and other activities such as test series, quizzes, live classes and 1v1 support will be added.

About me and my Project

I am Ashwin Pramod Bekal, a student of Cyber Security in Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management (SCEM). This project was developed in Cyber Security Lab (Center of excellence in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security) in SCEM, in order to take part in HACKBLUE CYBER HACKATHON, 2023.
I have worked on several Cyber Security Projects, and I am a verified CYBER SECURITY LEAD in the field of Cyber Security and Cryptography and STUDENT GUIDE by Indian Institution of Engineers (IEI). I have been the Associate Secretary of IEI for 1 year.
In 2023, under MICROSOFT STUDENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM, I have been selected as CYBER SECURITY GUIDE for my College Student Community, to help them understand the concepts of Cyber Security and Malware Analysis.

What PA-v1.1.0 does?

The job of PA-v1.1.0 is simple, but crucial. The user needs to input the URL in the field, and it will let know, whether the URL is a part of Trusted Service or not. It also provides additional information like the Scheme of URL, IP Address of the domain and the Platform or Service to which this domain belongs to. PA-v1.1.0 is 90% Python and Flask, the rest 5% is JSON, which helps storing the information and the remaining 5% is HTML and CSS, to render web interface.

The first and the prominent feature is that, both PA-v1.1.0 and Cyber Education Website is AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE. People just need to visit Phish Authenticate for Phish Authenticator and Cyber Education for Cyber Education Website. Additionally, the links are provided below to download the MOBILE APP in the .apk format.

Easy UI/UX, enabling all users to use it. Quick, Fast and Reliable.
Provides all important information about Website like, Status, Protocol, IP Address and Owner of the domain.
The Educational Website, is where people can read about different Hacking techniques and topics in Cyber Security.
I have used WIX to develop my website and host it online, to easily update information and users can also contact me. Google Sites, provided an easy interface to add Micro-Learning Modules to my Education website.
If any user blacklists a domain, it will be checked if it is true, within 24 hours, if it is false, the change will be reverted.

What and why they were used?

I have used a lot of technology stacks in this project.

Python and Flask was used to develop my PA-v1.1.0 Shield. The logic used in this Phish Authenticator was built purely using Python and Flask. Session by Flask was used to store URLs in a single session.
HTML, CSS and JS were used to show up the content and beautify the webpage. It also does the routing of pages.
JSON is used to store the domains and their respective platforms. The version 1.1.0 of PA currently has only 2 JSON files. The one list recording all Safe and Original domains, and the other one holds the Bad, Fake or Suspicious domains.
Velo Full Stack Development Platform by WIX. WIX was used to include various features in the project, like user interaction with me and to develop education site and mainly for hosting the website, since I need not purchase any domain.
Velo is a full-stack development platform that empowers you to rapidly build, manage and deploy professional web apps.
Google Sites for designing Courses for Education Website.
PythonAnywhere is another hosting platform, where I can host my Flask Applications. I have hosted my PA-v1.1.0 Shield over there.

What next after PA-v1.1.0?

PA-v1.1.0 is now have verified up to 77 domains of Top-Notch tech companies. Out of these 77 domains or services, 7 companies are the popular e-Commerce websites, 5 of which had already been fallen to the trap of Phishing. After this, in PA-v1.2.0, the upcoming version which will be released in April 2024, the number of verified domains will be 4 times more than current.

What am I currently working on?

I am an Engineering student in Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management (SCEM). Currently, I work in Center of Excellence in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security (COE in DF & CY) in SCEM. My research on latest Cyber Security trends is still on.
My latest project was developing a Malware Classifier using Python and Machine Learning.
My project to develop Credit Card sized Password Manager, which will securely hold and manage all credentials of the user, has been accepted by CoE, SCEM.

Secure Pulse, the android application now accepts suggestions from users to add and modify course contents.

Users can now go to About Me Page and give me feedback of what topics can be added or what changes needs to be implemented. Based on the complexity and necessity of the topic it will be added to the courses. For lengthier topics, it will take a maximum time up to 2 weeks.

Completely solved any possible potential bugs in version 1.0.0 and now got updated to version 1.1.0. The new update allows users to Blacklist URLs which are malicious. For security reasons, changes to Secure and Safe domains by users is not allowed.
