Inspiration

In today's world lending someone money is riskier. This risk even gets higher when you lend the money without proof. To solve this kind of problem I have developed a simple Dapp which helps to lend someone money with the proof of Bitcoin Blockchain.

What it does

This Project can add a user like a bank. It does contain features like sending a loan to someone and getting a loan from someone. This project also takes all the security measures before transferring the tokens. With an interactive environment of next.js, we can use all its features.

How I built it

First of all clarity programming language or LISP-type language is new to me and to learn this language I have followed the excellent resources given by the judges. After all the basics and clear of clarity language I built the Smart Contract with the clarinet. It comes with lots of features like the console, devnet integration and many more. After the backend part, I used the Stacks.js library to make the front end of the program. It became a lot easier with this blog. To connect the backend with the frontend I've used Hiro wallet and Devnet integration.

Challenges I ran into

Basic operations like != and if else are not supported in clarity language which makes it harder to code in clarity but again this language is made with priority to security which I truly admire. While passing the arguments to the functions in the smart contract with the front end it became tougher due to a lack of proper resources but eventually, I figured it out with the help of clarity-camp projects.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

Making my first Clarity smart contract and deploying it on the testnet and devnet. Working with stacks.js is also an exciting opportunity to learn something new. Integration with the frontend and backend of a new environment is a little bit tough but in the end, the community helped me to get over it.

What I learned

Use of clarity Language Use of clarinet and Stacks.js library Concept of devnet and different Docker images of it. Most importantly there exist chain stacks which come with the security of the bitcoin chain and features of a true smart contract.

What's next for P2P-Lending Full Stack Clarity Smart Contract

In a future version of this Project, I want to add the feature of money splitting between the users which was the initial idea of this project due to time constraints I wasn't been able to make it happen but in some weeks I will definitely work on it. Next is working on the frontend and appereance of this project.
