Inspiration: The idea of medicine/healthcare and technology has always been interesting to me. As such, I always thought many technological apps can make the lives of healthcare workers much easier - especially in desperate times. My inspiration comes from living through a pandemic and seeing firsthand how difficult it was for everyone, and how we were able to overcome it.
What it does
Simplify patient tracking, reminders, and mental health monitoring, and reimagine what pandemic care could be if technology, history, and healthcare were intertwined.
How we built it
JS, HTML, CSS
Challenges we ran into
Backend logic was hard to maintain - so right now its all being stored locally (future advancements would include PHP)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to accomplish a very in depth patient log and being able to save the info properly to generate reports
What we learned
That this tool has a lot of potential to become a very useful and practical tool for healthcare workers and patient care. It needs much more work, but I am proud of how much has been accomplished thus far.
What's next for P.A.T.H - Patient Analysis and Tracking Hub
Improving the mental health space (journal, open discussions with other users), integration of AI chatbot to help user with their experience, backend PHP logic, a seperate portal for healthcare officials to pull up patient records via unique access codes, etc.
