Inspiration
I wanted to create a program that not only brought awareness to the effects of global warming but also helped people find ways to reverse its consequences. Our Ozone Layer's thinning is getting to the point where our lives and well-being are at stake.
What it does
The program does three different things, output information about the Ozone Layer, calculate the size of the Ozone Layer at any given year, and calculates the thickness of the layer in millimeters and Dobsons. ## How I built it
I used the Spyder software to code in the programing language Python.
Challenges I ran into
I had some trouble finding reliable information about the Ozone Layer and ran into some syntax errors such as wrong punctuation and ordering.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am proud of the calculations I performed and the information I collected about the Ozone Layer.
What I learned
During my time researching the Ozone Layer, I read about the many other adverse effects of global warming, such as greenhouse gases and air pollution. In regards to coding in Python, I learned how to calculate and multiple an exponent.
What's next for Ozone Layer Calculator
I want to expand the program to identify a specific region globally and have it find and record the size/thickness of the Ozone Layer.
