Inspiration
OZER ERP was born from a very concrete problem: accounting firms in Argentina still manage critical workflows across spreadsheets, disconnected tools, manual reminders, email threads, and repetitive compliance tasks.
For small and medium accounting practices, this creates operational friction: payroll is handled in one place, tax deadlines in another, client data somewhere else, billing is often tracked manually, and financial statements require a lot of professional time to assemble.
The idea behind OZER is simple: help accounting professionals keep everything in order.
What it does
OZER ERP is an AI-powered operating system for accounting firms.
It centralizes and connects:
- Client and firm management
- Payroll liquidation and payslip generation
- Tax deadline tracking
- Billing and fee control
- Financial statements under Argentine RT 54 rules
- Support tickets
- Multi-firm and multi-user access
- Role-based permissions
- AI-assisted workflows for professional decision-making
The platform is designed for accounting firms that manage many clients, many obligations, and many recurring processes at the same time.
How we built it
We built OZER as a full-stack SaaS-style ERP, deployed on a VPS with a production domain and structured around real accounting workflows.
A major part of the development was done iteratively with Codex: designing modules, testing flows, fixing bugs, improving UX, refining print outputs, building payroll logic, organizing accounting workflows, and deploying improvements to production.
Instead of building a generic dashboard, we focused on real professional use cases: how an accountant actually works, what data must be preserved, how payroll concepts are configured, how financial statements are prepared, and how a firm manages access for different users and clients.
What makes it different
Most tools in this space are either too generic or too fragmented.
OZER is built as a vertical ERP for accounting firms. It combines operational management with professional compliance workflows, including payroll, tax deadlines, billing, accounting, support, and assisted financial statement preparation.
The goal is not just to store data. The goal is to guide the professional, reduce repetitive work, detect issues, and help the firm make better decisions.
Challenges we faced
The hardest part was not only building screens. The challenge was modeling real accounting logic:
- Payroll concepts vary by agreement, company, employee, and period.
- Historical payroll must remain auditable.
- Financial statements must preserve formal structure when printed.
- Multi-firm access requires strict role and permission logic.
- The system must feel simple even when the underlying workflows are complex.
Another major challenge was balancing flexibility and control. Accounting firms need to customize many things, but the system still has to remain organized and safe.
What we learned
We learned that AI-assisted development is extremely powerful when paired with deep domain knowledge.
Codex helped accelerate implementation, debugging, refactoring, UI improvements, deployment workflows, and production checks. But the value came from combining that acceleration with real accounting expertise and constant testing against actual professional needs.
We also learned that the best ERP experience is not about adding more buttons. It is about reducing noise, guiding the user, and making complex work feel manageable.
What's next
The next step for OZER is to continue evolving into a complete intelligent ERP for accounting firms across Latin America.
Planned improvements include:
- Deeper AI assistance inside each module
- Smarter payroll validation
- Better accounting automation
- Client portals
- Document intelligence
- Advanced dashboards
- More integrations with local tax and regulatory systems
- Scalable subscription and support management
OZER ERP is still growing, but it already represents the core idea: an intelligent assistant for the modern accounting firm.
Everything in order.
