OwaTime
Inspiration
I wanted to create a modern Minecraft server that combines fun gameplay, high performance, and unique features for both Java and Bedrock Edition players. My goal is to build a friendly community where players can enjoy survival, events, and custom mechanics without unnecessary complexity.
What it does
OwaTime is a Minecraft server focused on providing an enjoyable multiplayer experience. The project includes custom gameplay systems, server optimization, quality-of-life improvements, and cross-platform support so players from different devices can play together.
How I built it
The server is built using Paper and GeyserMC to support both Java and Bedrock Edition. I configured and integrated multiple plugins, customized gameplay mechanics, optimized server performance, and designed the overall player experience. I also worked on server branding, menus, permissions, and custom content.
Challenges I ran into
One of the biggest challenges was making many plugins work together without conflicts while keeping the server stable and optimized. Another challenge was ensuring a smooth experience for both Java and Bedrock players, as some mechanics behave differently between the two editions.
What I learned
During this project, I learned more about Minecraft server architecture, plugin configuration, performance optimization, and cross-platform compatibility. I also improved my problem-solving skills by debugging plugin interactions and designing better gameplay systems.
What's next for OwaTime
I plan to continue expanding OwaTime by adding new events, custom mechanics, improved progression systems, better optimization, and more content based on community feedback. The long-term goal is to create one of the best cross-platform Minecraft servers for players to enjoy.
