Inspiration

One of our clients wanted to scale in Europe. Human translators are expensive, slow and with the advancements of AI, for E-Commerce specifically, AI translators are just perfect.

So we built this tool that allowed our client to translate 9,000+ SKUs into 27 languages automatically.

Now he's getting sales from European countries.

What it does

Ovesio translates entire stores into 27+ languages. It will also generate missing product descriptions and do multilingual SEO.

Plus, you can generate blog articles and many more with it.

All the content management is automatic, and if you change the original (in the original language) all the translated versions will be updated.

How I built it

PHP, Laravel and LLMs.

Challenges I ran into

Getting high quality translations was definitely a challenge and we had to build our own AI Inspector that chooses between 5 different translations, from 5 different translators and then compile the best one possible.

It works great :)

What I learned

Building a solution that saves months of works takes a long time, but it's worth it.
