My Inspiration
The story begins when I was selected into my dream college after a grueling effort of 2 years. I was fortunate to learn and apply Python from the curriculum itself. But I wanted something more. I looked about and saw Java, C, C++ beckoning me... After Python, every other code except WebDev code seemed scary and out of the world to new explorer me.
How I got started
I started by firstly knowing its history, how and to serve what purpose was it developed. Next I scanned for its present fields of application and began looking at how can I achieve results which I wanted from Java. Next came the programming part for which I must acknowledge dev.java for their super awesome documentation.
No fun w/o Challenges!
The major challenge was to let the concept of strictly hard-coded language protocols sink in... another daunting challenge was to debug code, not syntactical (which are easier to find), but semantical and logical errors which were initially high in numbers due to my lack of complete understanding of the language and its principles.
Lifelong lessons
I have crossed many hurdles and most importantly, my fear of the unknown realms of programming, now I am not afraid to face errors, instead I *seek them to increase my understanding *of the language. I also know now that this journey of exploration lasts more than a lifetime and that though I have just started, I will continue with perseverance.
Can't wait for what's NEXT!
Next I aim for a few open source contributions with applications of Java to get an hands-on experience with real-life applications of Java. Also in my bucket is C++ and its applications.
