Inspiration

Going overseas to study or work for the long-term is not easy, it often involves knotty administrative processes and a hella of emotional rollercoaster, from joy to loneliness and even anxiety. Being far from home, safety concern is an issue too, both for our loved ones and ourselves. Therefore, we see a gap and an opportunity that our App could address by simplifying essential services and providing the much needed connection.

What it does

It collates all useful and essential functions into a superApp that addresses problems Singaporeans overseas might face

How we built it

Using Python, Kivy and KivyMD

Challenges we ran into

Handling numerous screen navigations and formatting the widgets on the screen properly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A decent looking App with smooth transition

What we learned

We learnt that user journey mapping is a really useful process for idea generation, giving us insights to brainstorm for improvements and optimisation at each and every stage. It helps us break up a big daunting problem into many smaller sub-problems!
