OvaryWise - PCOS Risk Assessment

Inspiration

This project was inspired by the health issues faced by women surrounding me. A sedentary lifestyle, changing food habits and stress affects many of us. A simple questionnaire that can be given sleeping in your couch, would help nudge people to go see a doc as many turn a blind eye to the symptoms. There are few similar projects available online but this was encapsulates everything i wanted at one place- like edu resources and nearby gynaes.

What it does

After obtaining user consent, an interactive questionnaire starts. Based on the user inputs, the neural network model tells(not at a clinical level) if one is possibly at risk or at no risk. It gives recs based on results.

How I built it

I built it using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with the help of GitHub Copilot.

Challenges we ran into

I could not run TensorFlow on my pc, so i couldnt implement ai. also, training a model for detecting pcos requires hefty data. The most i could find was 500 row data pertaining to only one ethnicity.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

It has a huge social impact. It would spread more awareness among people and push them to make better choices for their health.

What I learned

This helped me to get better at coding. Also, i have never done smtg like this before. so this was a good start ig.

What's next for OvaryWise - PCOS Risk Assessment

There's still a lot of room for improvement. This project is publicly available for people to submit pull requests on Github. I hope this would reach women who need it.
