Inspiration

Everyone has found themselves dressed inappropriately for the weather at least once in their lives - whether it be donning a hoodie in sweltering heat, or freezing in a miniskirt. Not to mention the sheer amount of possible outfit combinations: how can one choose?

What OUTfit does

Just fill out a short and convenient questionnaire so that OUTfit can learn about your personal style! After the questionnaire, explore hundreds of thousands of outfit ideas tailored to your answers and weather conditions in your area.

How we built it

We used Figma to create OUTfit's mockups, and used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to bring the website to life.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was converting the website from a mockup to a working website - we went through countless hours of debugging to make sure each facet of our website was functional.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of everything we were able to do with this project! We put so much work into our focused and detailed project idea, eye-catching designs and website.

What we learned

We reviewed our HTML and Javascript skills, and also learned how to implement new functions in these languages.

What's next for OUTfit

In the future, we want to:

  • Implement the Google Maps API (or similar location-based API) to automatically access location based on the user’s preferences
  • Fine-tune the user experience with dynamic motion graphics
  • Create an algorithm to generate outfit ideas based on the user’s answers
