Inspiration

My passion for fashion and the desire to always look my best sparked the idea for this project. Utilizing the AWS PartyRock platform seemed like the perfect opportunity to blend technology with style. The platform's image generation capabilities excited me, as it allowed for a vivid preview of the outfits, making the concept not just innovative but also visually engaging.

What it does

Our application simplifies outfit planning by generating attire suggestions based on the event type input by the user. It goes further by allowing customisation of the suggested outfits, ensuring the final selection aligns with the user's taste. Besides visual suggestions, it offers detailed information about each outfit component, including descriptions, pricing, and purchasing locations, providing a comprehensive fashion assistant.

How we built it

The app's backbone is AWS's generative LLMs within the PartyRock platform. We engineered these generative LLMs to interact seamlessly with one another and user inputs, creating a cohesive system that translates simple prompts into stylish outfit recommendations.

Challenges we ran into

Configuring the LLMs to produce the desired outcomes was initially challenging. It required a period of adaptation and experimentation, but our perseverance paid off, enabling the LLMs to function as intended and deliver valuable outputs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our pride lies in orchestrating the LLMs to collaborate effectively, achieving an application that not only meets but exceeds our initial vision. The ability to transform an idea into a working model that resonates with users is immensely satisfying.

What we learned

The project deepened our understanding of LLMs, particularly the importance of precise prompting. We discovered that the success of LLMs heavily relies on how instructions are framed and communicated, underscoring the nuances of human-AI interaction.

What's next for Outfit Designer

The next step is to evolve the Outfit Designer from a prototype within the AWS PartyRock environment into a standalone application. Leveraging AWS's robust tools, we aim to expand its capabilities and reach, transforming it into a go-to fashion-tech resource.
