Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project stems from a deep concern for our planet's future. Witnessing the alarming destruction of 15 billion trees annually, the devastation caused by forest fires, and the loss of biodiversity due to deforestation moved us to take action. Our Forests was founded with a passion for conservation, a commitment to raising awareness, and a belief in collective efforts to combat these issues. We are driven by the urgent need to preserve our environment for future generations, making it our mission to educate, inspire, and engage individuals worldwide in the fight against deforestation and its dire consequences.

What it does

Our project illuminates the urgent need to protect our forests through compelling data and insights. We emphasize the critical importance of conservation, highlighting the devastating impact of deforestation and forest fires on our planet's biodiversity. Central to our initiative is an interactive map, offering real-time information. This tool enables users to explore, understand, and engage with the issue directly, fostering a sense of global awareness and inspiring collective action toward safeguarding our precious forests.

How we built it

We built this initiative leveraging our expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Drawing on our previous knowledge, we meticulously crafted an engaging platform. Using HTML for structure, CSS for design finesse, and JavaScript for interactive elements, we developed an intuitive interface. This amalgamation of skills allowed us to create a seamless user experience and an interactive map, enabling us to effectively convey the urgency of forest protection and encourage active participation in conservation efforts.

Challenges we ran into

During the development, we faced challenges, notably with pop-out functionalities and achieving visual aesthetics. Integrating seamless pop-outs proved intricate, requiring meticulous coding.
