What was your inspiration?

We were inspired to build a more sustainable city for future generations and build stronger connections between those in your community.

What does your platform do?

Our platform allows you to catch a ride from those driving around you and driving to destinations similar to yours - promoting car sharing. This application allows you to input your starting point and destination, then search and request a driver to pick you up otw (on the way).

What did we use to build it?

We built a working prototype on Figma, we then used build an MVP in React. We used OAuth via GitHub to authenticate users and once they are on the main page, they can create and view Journey's. When inserting journeys we use the Supabase API and interact with the PostgreSQL DB.

What were some challenges we faced?

Competing products like Uber, Lyft, Poparide.

Our UI, code, research and pitch

What did we learn?

We learned to collaborate and generate solution to build smarter cities

Implement a better-looking website
