Inspiration
We created this website to help those struggling with choosing the most decent color combinations for their daily attires.
What it does
Ott-Zzal-Al allows users to choose their choice of tops and a color. It then suggests some options for different types of pants, and once the user picks their preference, the system provides six different color combinations for the day. If the user wants to see other combinations in play, they can simply press on the regenerate button to see other combinations.
How we built it
We made this simple application using the Angular web framework over Google's Firebase no-SQL Database.
Challenges we ran into
We had trouble collecting all the color combinations since we thought different people had different color preferences when coordinating their outfits. On the technical side, we ran into minor package version issues, but it was a smooth ride overall.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Two of our teammates were able to learn HTML/CSS for the first time within our timeframe. We also have a running application.
What we learned
We learned that even the most simple-looking websites required developers to spend a generous amount of time.
What's next for Ott-Zzal-Al
We would like to work on expanding our database so we can provide users with more options in becoming their own stylists.
