Inspiration
Oxley's is one of the most popular dining places in OSU and faces a large peak from the times between 11am to 2:30pm. To tackle this issue, we decided to create a website that deals with data analysis of customers and the items they order while tracking each individual ingredient and creating a optimization process to reduce costs and time. This website is to specifically help the shift manager make decisions on what more ingredients to order and when to place more staff members, overall reducing the time it takes to process work orders.
What it does
The website analyzes the excel file that has a macro with incoming GrubHub orders. By uploading this excel file, the website does a in-time analysis of the whole process and creates recommendations.
How we built it
We used Lovable and Excel mainly.
Challenges we ran into
It was hard to cross the excel file within the website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Considering neither member had any coding experience, we are proud of our work.
What we learned
We learned the importance of data analysis and understanding of coding through AI
What's next for OSU Oxley's By the Numbers Shift Manager Project
Hopefully we can get some feedback from student workers or shift managers of our project.
